MY Ministry

Welcome

I am passionate about engaging men in advancing the kingdom of God. My purpose is to provide tools that will assist churches in developing healthy ministries to men. We encourage local churches to build effective and intentional methods for creating, capturing and sustaining a ministry to men that are unique to their own situation. To assist churches in building on that framework, we seek best practices and success stories in discipling men from across in the US and around the world. Our vision is to see churches move men from the bleachers to the community to effective service. The website is based on the "No Man Left Behind" model developed by Man in the Mirror.

Our Vision. Our vision is to see men making disciples who make disciples who make... (1 Timothy 2:2).
Our mission is to assist churches in developing effective men's disciple-making ministries.
Resources. We recommend resources to encourage and help men move from wide to deep in their spiritual life.
Men Matter. Men are the foundation. As go the men, so go marriages, families, churches, and the nation.

Following graduation from college I entered the U.S Air Force, became a commissioned officer, and served 23 years in the field of communications electronics. My service included assignments in the field and staff positions, as well as three tours as a unit commander. Besides six stateside assignments, I served tours in southeastern Turkey and Taiwan. My last two assignments involved developing policy and direction for the acquisition of Air Force information systems and directing planning and acquisition support for five global networks for the Defense Information Systems Agency.

Upon retirement, I worked for a defense contractor for seventeen years supporting planning and programming for U.S. Navy air and surface systems. I also taught leadership development to acquisition professionals. In addition, I supported initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Navy systems acquisition.

During those years, served in leadership positions in six churches in three denominations and three military chapels. That service included teaching Bible studies, strategic planning, and leading disciplemaking and ministry to men. I led a regional men’s ministry team and served on my denomination’s men’s ministry leadership team. I have been on short-term mission trips to Mongolia (2003) and western Turkey (2005) and Russia (2006). I also post a weekly blog on Biblical topics.
